TDS and SDS: ask for the right document.
APPLICATION / REFERENCE IMAGERYCheck the product, version and purpose before relying on technical information.
Technical information
The applicable technical data sheet provides product-specific information. Use the current authorised version for the exact product; do not transfer mixing or application instructions between different products.
Safety information
The safety data sheet serves a separate safety-information purpose. Obtain the applicable current document and follow the site’s reviewed safety arrangements and competent guidance.
A controlled document set
Check product identity, language, revision and intended market. When a document is missing or its applicability is unclear, request clarification before proceeding.
Treat a historical PDF carefully
An old document can help identify a product or explain a past discussion, but its presence in a shared folder does not establish current applicability. Confirm the product identity and ask for the current authorised version. Keep historical material separate from the document set selected for the present requirement.
Make the document request precise
Name the exact product and document type, the language you need and the intended destination or application. Ask who should resolve any discrepancy between the product label and the document. If instructions or applicability are unclear, obtain clarification from the responsible technical or safety professional before relying on them.
Make it relevant to your project.
Bring the application and your requirements into a structured brief.
